Join Google’s trusted security team as a Remediation Advisor with Mandiant Consulting. As part of Mandiant’s front line, you will help clients transform their cyber defense posture by guiding incident response and remediation strategies across complex environments. You will work with multinational teams, leading remediation actions, root cause analyses, and risk-informed recommendations designed to reduce business risk and accelerate recovery. Responsibility
- Lead and coordinate remediation activities following security incidents for enterprise clients.
- Conduct root cause analysis and produce remediation plans with prioritized actions.
- Collaborate with client IT, security, and executive stakeholders to align on risk and timelines.
- Guide and validate remediation implementation, evidence collection, and closure.
- Communicate remediation status and metrics to stakeholders; report to Mandiant leadership.
- Leverage industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK) and Google Cloud platforms to harden environments.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to playbooks and repeatable remediation processes.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are addressed throughout remediation efforts.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with incident response and remediation, with consulting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the incident response lifecycle, root cause analysis, and remediation strategies.
- Experience with cloud security (preferably Google Cloud Platform), networking, and virtualization.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and governance practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to convey complex concepts to executives and technical teams.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIA, or GIAC are a plus.
- Proactive, customer-facing mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments and travel as needed.
