Responsibility
- Lead and manage the end-to-end property accounting process for a portfolio of US-based properties.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and review property financial statements in compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Coordinate with property managers, internal stakeholders, and external auditors regarding property financials.
- Implement and uphold internal controls to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned property portfolios.
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance accounting workflows and efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in property or real estate accounting, preferably for US-based portfolios.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and US property accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, AppFolio) and MS Excel.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to effectively mentor a team.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
