Responsibility
- Assist in the design, set-up, and implementation of field and laboratory experiments related to rice-based cropping systems.
- Conduct sample collection, processing, and analysis adhering to scientific and safety protocols.
- Monitor, record, and manage experimental data with accuracy and integrity.
- Operate and maintain laboratory and field equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance.
- Collaborate with researchers, scientists, and project teams to achieve project objectives within defined timelines.
- Participate in the training of new staff, interns, or students as needed.
- Prepare technical reports and contribute to research publications as required.
- Ensure implementation of best practices for data quality and safety in both field and laboratory environments.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in field and laboratory work, preferably in an agricultural or scientific research setting.
- Solid understanding of experimental design, data collection, and basic statistical principles.
- Proficient in the use of laboratory and agricultural field equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced research environment.
- Willingness to spend extended periods working outdoors as well as in laboratory settings.
