As a member of our service and kitchen team, you will contribute to daily service operations, from welcoming guests and taking orders to assisting with food preparation and station setup. Responsibility
- Provide courteous guest service in a fast-paced restaurant and assist kitchen staff during peak hours.
- Support food preparation, plating, dishwashing, and basic kitchen sanitation to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Maintain mise en place, portion control, and accurate order fulfillment for dining and takeaway customers.
- Set up dining areas, replenish service counters, clear tables, and assist with bussing as needed.
- Operate POS systems, handle orders, and process payments with accuracy and courtesy.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth service flow and effective communication with kitchen staff.
- Assist with inventory checks, stock rotation, and timely restocking of supplies.
Qualification
- Minimum secondary education; relevant hospitality or food service training is a plus.
- Strong customer service mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and safe food handling; willingness to learn.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads; flexible to work rotating shifts.
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, etc.) are advantageous.
- Punctual, reliable, and flexible with a proactive approach to tasks.
