Great Leo Medic Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join our customer-focused team in Cheras, Selangor. In this role, you will provide high-quality pharmaceutical care, dispense medications accurately, counsel patients, and contribute to safe and effective therapy in a busy retail setting. As a Retail Pharmacist, you will be a trusted healthcare partner for our customers, helping them understand proper medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain meticulous records, and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety.
Key responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, verifying orders for accuracy and safety, conducting patient counseling, and recommending OTC products when appropriate. You will manage inventory, monitor stock levels and expiry dates, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the pharmacy is organized, clean, and compliant with all policies. Collaboration with physicians, clinics, and healthcare teams will be essential to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibility
- Dispense prescription medications accurately according to physician orders and regulatory requirements.
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication use, dosing, potential side effects, interactions, and safety precautions.
- Verify prescribed medications for accuracy, appropriateness, allergies, and potential drug interactions; resolve any discrepancies with prescribers as needed.
- Maintain inventory control including stock levels, expiry tracking, shelf presentation, and liaising with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply.
- Prepare and label medications correctly, ensuring adherence to quality and privacy standards; manage prescription records and documentation in the pharmacy management system.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at the counter, upsell safe OTC products when appropriate, and assist customers with health-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and PDPA guidelines; participate in regular audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and promote community health.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree and registration with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia (PPM) to practice as a Pharmacist.
- Minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy experience is preferred; solid knowledge of dispensing procedures, dosage forms, and pharmacology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in Malay and English; other languages are a plus.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems, point-of-sale operations, and common software (MS Office).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays; reliable and punctual.
