Great Leo Medic Sdn Bhd is seeking a Retail Pharmacist for our Setapak branch in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role is ideal for a customer-focused, detail-oriented pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment and enjoys direct patient interaction.
As the Retail Pharmacist, you will dispense medications accurately, counsel patients on proper usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will manage OTC products, check expiry dates, maintain inventory, and collaborate with store staff to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care. You will review prescriptions for safety, screen for drug interactions and allergies, and document all activities in our pharmacy management system. In collaboration with the healthcare team, you will participate in medication reviews, provide immunization support, and contribute to patient education initiatives.

Responsibility
- Precisely dispense prescribed medications and verify dosage and interactions.
- Provide patient counseling on proper use, storage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
- Manage OTC product assortment, pricing, and shelf presentation to optimize sales and safety.
- Maintain accurate prescription records, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect patient confidentiality.
- Oversee medication safety initiatives, including drug interaction screening and allergy checks.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and store staff to support patient care and pharmacy operations.
- Conduct regular stock checks, inventory control, and loss prevention measures and support procurement as needed.
Qualification
- Licensed pharmacist with full registration with the Malaysian Pharmacy Board (Lembaga Farmasi Malaysia).
- Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience; fresh graduates with strong clinical knowledge may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing, dosage calculations, and pharmacology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and point-of-sale systems; comfortable with technology.
- Detail-oriented, compliant, and able to maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a retail environment, including weekends and shift variations.
