Job description
Join Hummingcomm Corporation as an RF Engineer and play a critical role in developing and validating high‑frequency communication systems. This contract position is based in Cebu City, Cebu, offering the chance to work with a dynamic team delivering radio frequency solutions for modern networks and devices.
As an RF Engineer, you will design, test, and optimize RF components and subsystems, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver robust, scalable products. You will work with test equipment, perform RF measurements, perform network analysis, simulate performance, and contribute to system-level architecture for wireless applications.
Key responsibilities include hands-on RF prototyping, characterization of RF circuits, measurement data analysis, and documentation of results. You will support the development lifecycle from concept to production, assist in troubleshooting, and participate in design reviews to ensure reliability and manufacturability. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.
We value candidates who are proactive, results-driven, and eager to stay current with evolving RF technologies, including RF front-end design, antenna integration, and signal integrity. This contract position offers competitive compensation and opportunities for growth within a forward-thinking ICT company in the Philippines.
Responsibility
- Design and analyze RF circuits and systems, including impedance matching and filtering.
- Conduct RF measurements using VNA, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer; analyze S-parameters, gain, noise figure, and stability.
- Design, simulate, and characterize antennas and RF front-end modules; optimize integration with RF PCB and connectors.
- Develop and validate RF models and simulations (e.g., MATLAB, RF circuit simulators) to predict performance.
- Prepare detailed test plans, run experiments, analyze data, and generate comprehensive technical reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams; participate in design reviews and risk analyses to ensure reliability and manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and support regulatory certification and documentation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; 2+ years of hands-on RF engineering experience preferred.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment including vector network analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
- Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, impedance matching, filtering, PCB layout for RF signals, and RF front-end integration.
- Experience with antenna design and characterization, with an understanding of radiation patterns and efficiency.
- Familiarity with RF simulation and modeling tools (HFSS, CST, Keysight ADS, Microwave Office) and scripting for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to prepare clear technical reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, contract environment, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams.
