Private Advertiser is seeking a proactive Sales Associate to join our team in Makati City, Manila. In this role, you will be the friendly face of the brand, helping customers discover products that support their active lifestyle in the Sport & Recreation category. As a Sales Associate, you will greet customers, identify needs, demonstrate product features, and guide them to the best solutions. You will process sales transactions accurately, manage returns and exchanges, and ensure that merchandise is presented in an appealing and organized way. You'll collaborate with team members to maintain inventory accuracy, restock popular items, and execute in-store promotions. A strong emphasis is placed on delivering a positive shopping experience, capturing customer information for follow-ups, and nurturing long-term relationships that drive repeat business.
Key responsibilities include: greeting and assisting customers, upselling and cross-selling relevant products, operating the POS system, handling cash and card transactions securely, maintaining product knowledge across gear, apparel, and equipment, executing merchandising standards, keeping the store clean and safe, and meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets. You will monitor stock levels, support inventory counts, and coordinate with suppliers when needed. Excellent communication, reliability, and a customer-first mindset are essential to thrive in this role.
Qualifications include a friendly demeanor, prior retail or sales experience, ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, basic math and cash handling skills, proficiency with POS systems, and a strong interest in sports or fitness. Responsibility
- Greet customers, identify needs, and provide personalized product recommendations in the Sport & Recreation category.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits, and answer questions to help customers select the right gear and apparel.
- Process sales transactions accurately at the POS, handle returns and exchanges, and ensure payment security.
- Maintain engaging merchandise displays, ensure accurate pricing, and manage stock levels on the floor.
- Support inventory management, participate in regular stock counts, and assist with receiving shipments.
- Execute promotions and upsell relevant items to increase average order value.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, build relationships, and share product knowledge for repeat business.
Qualification
- Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in consumer goods or fitness products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in handling inquiries and resolving issues.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
