StaffKing Pte Ltd is actively hiring a proactive SCADA Software Engineer to join our automation team in Singapore's East Region. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and supporting SCADA-based software solutions that monitor and control industrial processes. You will collaborate with controls engineers, electrical technicians, and project teams to deliver robust, scalable automation systems for clients located in the East Singapore corridor (Ubi/Site area).
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing SCADA software, configuring HMI screens, alarms, data logging, and historical trends, and ensuring seamless integration with PLCs and data sources using industry standards such as OPC UA and Modbus. Key duties include:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain SCADA software components that monitor and control industrial processes.
- Configure and optimize HMI screens, alarms, data logging, and reporting.
- Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, and data sources using OPC UA, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
- Collaborate with controls engineers and project teams to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects with structured debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Document software architecture, configurations, and deployment procedures for maintainability.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices and compliance with company standards while supporting client sites in the East Region.

Responsibility
- Own the full software lifecycle for SCADA applications from design to deployment and support.
- Develop and optimize HMI screens, alarms, data logging, and reporting to enable actionable plant insights.
- Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, and data sources using OPC UA, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
- Collaborate with controls engineers and project teams to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects with structured debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Document software architecture, configurations, and deployment procedures for maintainability.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices and compliance with company standards while supporting client sites in the East Region.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Proven experience in SCADA software development and HMI design; PLC/SCADA integration.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python; familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3) is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required; AWS knowledge or cloud integration is a plus.
