Join NorthBridge Finance Solutions as a Senior Accountant in Chicago, IL. You will be a key contributor to the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Responsibility
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements and reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and sub-ledgers, including accurate account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze period-end financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Support external audits, internal controls, and SOX compliance as applicable.
- Identify process improvements, automate repetitive tasks, and drive efficiency in close and reporting cycles.
- Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and Tax to provide financial insights that guide business decisions.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls, policies, and documentation standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or active CPA candidate preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, US GAAP knowledge required.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analytics; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; demonstrated initiative and accountability.
- Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance is a plus.
