We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Singapore to drive accurate financial reporting and robust financial controls.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance function, partnering with operations, procurement and sales teams to ensure accurate cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting. You will own the month end close process, consolidate financial statements for the group and provide insightful analysis to management to support strategic decisions. You will also play a key role in statutory compliance and internal control programs, ensuring compliance with SG IFRS and local regulations. Responsibility
- Lead the full set of accounting for the group, including general ledger, intercompany transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and cash management.
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and on time delivery of financial statements.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and perform intercompany eliminations in line with SG IFRS.
- Control and monitor internal processes and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support external statutory audits and tax compliance, including preparation of schedules and management of documentation.
- Drive process improvements and automation of financial workflows through ERP and Excel to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze cost center performance, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement and sales teams to ensure accurate product costing and financial reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA/CAs preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or multinationals.
- Strong knowledge of full sets of accounts, consolidation, IFRS/ SG IFRS, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast paced environment with high integrity.
- Detail oriented with strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience with tax compliance and statutory reporting is a plus.
