NovaGuard Actuarial Partners is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Life & Health practice in Singapore. You will work on pricing, reserving, product development, and risk assessment for regional clients. Responsibility
- Develop and validate pricing and reserving models for life and health products using Python, R, and SQL.
- Lead experience studies, persistency analyses, and prognostic modeling to support product development and pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product teams to translate analytics into strategic recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance actuarial models and data pipelines; ensure model governance and documentation.
- Prepare actuarial reports for management and clients, including scenario analysis and risk assessments.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
- Support regulatory filings and compliance activities as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; actuarial examination progress (FOA/SOA/CIMA) preferred.
- Minimum 4-6 years of actuarial experience in life and/or health insurance pricing, valuation, or risk modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Python/R/SQL; experience with actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, MOSES) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of actuarial principles, stochastic modeling, and reserves estimation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to present complex analyses clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in Singapore; eligibility to work in Singapore.
