NovaAI Labs, a leading AI research and product studio, is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to accelerate development of scalable, production-ready AI systems. You will work at the intersection of research and product, turning complex problems into robust, data-driven solutions.
In this role, you’ll design end-to-end ML pipelines, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to ship impactful AI features for customers worldwide.
What you’ll do:
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable ML models, including LLMs and reinforcement learning components, with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
- Translate business problems into concrete AI solutions by partnering with product and data teams.
- Benchmark, profile, and optimize model performance, latency, and resource usage in cloud or on-prem environments.
- Own end-to-end model deployment pipelines (training, validation, deployment, monitoring) with CI/CD for ML workflows.
- Collaborate on data strategy, feature engineering, and experimentation planning to drive measurable impact.
- Mentor and review code, foster best practices in software engineering and responsible AI development.
- Contribute to research directions, publish findings, and present at internal and external venues as appropriate.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in AI/ML engineering with hands-on experience deploying production ML systems.
- Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) and strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Deep knowledge of ML algorithms, NLP, LLMs, and ideally reinforcement learning.
- Experience with MLOps tools (Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and experience building scalable data pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, data, and platform teams.
- Demonstrated track record of shipping production AI systems; publications or patents are a plus.
