The successful candidate will use state of the art instrumentation to develop, validate and transfer analytical methods in support of pharmaceutical and chemical product development. This role blends hands-on bench work with cross functional collaboration to deliver high quality data, compliant with GMP/GLP standards.
We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative culture focused on scientific excellence and innovation.
Responsibility
- Lead the development, optimization, validation, and transfer of analytical methods (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, FTIR) to manufacturing and QC teams.
- Design experiments to support product development, release testing, stability studies, and impurity profiling.
- Create and maintain robust documentation, including SOPs, method protocols, validation reports, deviation investigations, and data integrity practices.
- Analyse data, generate clear technical reports, present findings to cross-functional teams, and support decision making.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors; manage calibration schedules.
- Train and mentor junior analysts, oversee sample preparation workflows, and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP.
- Collaborate with QA, R&D, and Manufacturing for tech transfer and scale-up of analytical methods.
Qualification
- PhD in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry, or MS with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on analytical method development in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, or chemicals).
- Expertise with HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, and spectroscopy; knowledge of FTIR is a plus.
- Solid experience with GMP/GLP, method validation, transfer, and documentation.
- Proficiency with data processing software (Empower, MassLynx, Analyst, ChemStation) and data integrity practices.
- Strong problem-solving, written and oral communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
