NovaChem Solutions is at the forefront of innovative chemical solutions and sustainable materials. We are seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our Cambridge MA laboratory. This role leads analytical method development, validation, and rigorous data interpretation in a collaborative, GMP and GLP aware environment. You will partner with R&D, process development, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, compliant analytical solutions that accelerate product timelines.

Ideal candidates bring hands on expertise across HPLC and UPLC, GC–MS and LC–MS/MS, NMR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy, as well as solid experience with method validation, troubleshooting, and data integrity. You will mentor junior scientists, help optimize workflows, and contribute to safety and quality programs.

Responsibility

  • Lead development and validation of analytical methods for new and existing products in support of regulatory and internal quality requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and document method development experiments using HPLC, UPLC, GC–MS, LC–MS/MS, NMR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy.
  • Analyze data, troubleshoot instrument issues, and ensure data integrity in compliance with GMP and GLP standards.
  • Maintain instrument readiness, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and supplier relations for critical analytics.
  • Collaborate with R&D, process development, and manufacturing to translate analytical insights into scalable processes.
  • Mentor and train junior scientists, promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and change controls; support internal and external audits.

Qualification

  • Master's or PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field; PhD preferred for senior role.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in analytical chemistry within pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical materials industries.
  • Proficiency with HPLC/UPLC, GC–MS, LC–MS/MS, NMR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy; strong data analysis skills with appropriate software.
  • Solid understanding of GMP GLP, QA documentation, audit readiness, and instrument calibration/maintenance.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and cross functional collaboration abilities.
  • Track record of independent project management, mentorship, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship; ability to obtain necessary credentials and safety training.
