Join a leading chemistry team in Cambridge, MA as a Senior Analytical Chemist. Lead method development, GLP compliance, and advanced analytics.
We are seeking a seasoned professional to design experiments, optimize instruments, and deliver robust data for product development and regulatory submissions. This role offers the opportunity to shape analytical strategies and drive impact across R&D and QA/QC functions.
Responsibility
- Lead development and optimization of analytical methods (HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, IR) for R&D and QA/QC programs.
- Design experiments, troubleshoot instrument performance, and ensure GLP/GMP compliance across projects.
- Oversee sample preparation, data collection, and data integrity; review and sign off on analytical reports.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA to translate results into scalable processes and documentation.
- Mentor and train junior scientists and technicians on instrumentation, data analysis, and safety practices.
- Manage instrument maintenance schedules, calibration, qualification, and inventory control.
- Support regulatory filings and customer audits with accurate, audit-ready data and reports.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in analytical chemistry with hands-on HPLC, GC-MS, and NMR.
- Strong knowledge of GLP/GMP, QA/QC, method validation, and transfer to manufacturing.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (Empower, MassLynx, ChemStation) and data integrity practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with method development and regulatory documentation is a plus.
