NovaChem Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our collaborative R&D and QC teams in Boston. The ideal candidate will lead chromatographic method development, validate assays, and ensure data integrity in a GMP/GxP environment.
In this role you will design and execute experiments, troubleshoot analytical procedures, oversee instrument maintenance, and contribute to regulatory filings and quality documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable analyses that support product development and quality control.

Responsibility
- Lead development and optimization of HPLC, GC-MS, and LC-MS methods for release testing and stability studies.
- Validate analytical methods and assist in method transfer to QC laboratories.
- Interpret data, generate technical reports, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP, ISO 17025, and quality systems; maintain accurate documentation.
- Oversee instrument calibration, maintenance, and method troubleshooting; manage instrument uptime.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, and manufacturing to address analytical challenges and support product lifecycle.
- Mentor junior scientists and support training programs; contribute to SOP development.
Qualification
- MS or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field; PhD preferred for senior role.
- 3+ years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical industries.
- Expertise with HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and method development/validation in GMP environments.
- Strong knowledge of GMP/GLP, ISO 17025, and quality systems; data integrity focus.
- Proficient data analysis using Empower, MassLynx, ChemStation, or equivalent; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and manage multiple priorities.
