Rising Tide Digital is seeking a Senior API Developer (.Net) to join our agile technology team in Makati City. In this role, you will own the design, development, and optimization of scalable APIs that power complex integrations across internal systems and external partners. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance services.
As a hands-on senior contributor, you will architect RESTful APIs using .NET, C#, and modern tooling, implement API governance (versioning, documentation with OpenAPI/Swagger, and thorough testing), and drive best practices for security, reliability, and maintainability. You will also mentor junior developers, review code, and help establish engineering standards that accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
Key focus areas include API design patterns, microservices, data access optimization (SQL Server and ORM), and cloud deployments (Azure). You will partner with cross-functional teams to integrate with enterprise systems, CRM, ERP, and external partners, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and smooth data flows. Responsibility
- Lead design, development, and integration of .NET-based APIs, RESTful services, and microservices.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable APIs.
- Build, test, and deploy robust API endpoints with security, caching, and error handling.
- Implement API governance, versioning, and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability; monitor and tune SQL queries and data access.
- Integrate with external partner systems and internal services, including messaging systems.
- Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and establish best practices.
- Ensure adherence to security and data protection standards across all APIs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with .NET and C#.
- Extensive API development experience, including REST, OAuth, OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Strong SQL Server experience, ORM (Entity Framework), and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with microservices architecture and messaging patterns (e.g., RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of security best practices and OWASP guidelines for API security.
