Join a premier finance firm dedicated to rigorous valuation and advisory services. As a Senior Asset Valuation Analyst, you will lead complex engagements across asset classes and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions for clients and internal stakeholders.
Based in New York City, you will partner with cross-functional teams to model, quantify, and communicate asset value with clarity, precision, and integrity. This role offers a clear path to leadership within a high-performing valuation practice.
Responsibility
- Lead comprehensive asset valuation engagements for real estate, equipment, financial instruments, and intangible assets using state-of-the-art methodologies.
- Develop and maintain discounted cash flow, income capitalization, cost, and market approach valuation models.
- Conduct data collection, quality checks, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning to identify drivers of value and risk.
- Prepare client-ready valuation reports, executive summaries, and presentation materials for diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Audit, and Model Risk teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ASC 820, IFRS 13).
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and communication; mentor junior analysts and foster a high-performance team culture.
- Support business development through proposals, benchmarking studies, and thought leadership contributions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFA or ASA are preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of asset valuation experience across real estate, machinery, financial instruments, or intangibles.
- Strong proficiency in valuation methodologies (DCF, ERV, cost, market comparables) and financial modeling in Excel; knowledge of Python or R is a plus.
- Experience with data sources and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, S&P Global, CoStar) and a rigorous approach to data quality and governance.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management, time management, and client-service orientation.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, ASA, CAIA, or CPA are preferred.
