HarborView Capital Partners is seeking a Senior Asset Valuation Analyst to join our NYC-based team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering rigorous, decision-grade valuations across portfolios, including real assets, financial instruments, and business interests. Our firm blends advanced financial modeling with market insight to inform investment, capital planning, and risk management strategies.
What you will do
- Lead end-to-end valuation engagements for real assets, financial instruments, and subsidiary businesses.
- Develop and maintain robust valuation models (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions) and scenario analyses.
- Assess impairment, fair value measurements, and sensitivities in accordance with IFRS and GAAP.
- Collaborate with investment, risk, and accounting teams to ensure valuation quality and audit readiness.
- Present findings to senior management and clients, translating complex results into actionable recommendations.
- Stay current with market developments, asset classes, and industry best practices to enhance valuation methodology.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to model governance and documentation standards.
Responsibility

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or CFA strongly preferred.
- Proven experience valuing real assets, financial instruments, and/or intangible assets across multiple industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with VBA, Python, or R for modeling is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and GAAP fair value measurements and impairment assessment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to present complex results clearly.
- Experience with valuation software and data sources (Bloomberg, S&P CapIQ, or equivalent).
- Professional certifications such as CFA or ASA/AVA are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
