Join a premier financial services firm focused on asset valuation and advisory services. We are seeking a Senior Asset Valuation Analyst to lead valuation engagements across tangible assets, intangibles, and financial instruments. You will partner with finance, operations, and legal teams to deliver rigorous, defendable valuations used in mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, insurance, and dispute resolution.
At Apex Valuations Group, you will contribute to client engagements from scoping through delivery, supervise junior analysts, and help shape our valuation methodologies with best practices and state of the art tools.
Responsibility
- Lead valuation engagements for real assets, machinery, equipment, inventories, IP rights, and select financial instruments
- Develop and apply valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, market, cost, and income approaches
- Prepare comprehensive valuation reports compliant with IFRS, GAAP, and relevant standards
- Perform data collection, data extraction, and financial model development with rigorous QA
- Advise clients on drivers of value, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including accounting, tax, legal, and operations
- Present findings to clients and senior management with clear recommendations and documentation
- Mentor and train junior analysts to build internal valuation capabilities
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA/ASA preferred
- 5+ years of hands on asset valuation experience in a professional services firm or corporate setting
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; proficiency with valuation software and data sources
- Experience with DCF, market approach, cost approach, and asset category methodologies
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, ASC topics and regulatory standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication; client facing and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently
