Job description
We are seeking a Senior Asset Valuation Analyst to join our finance team in New York. The role focuses on independent, high quality valuation of tangible and intangible assets across portfolios. You will develop robust valuation models, perform market research, and present actionable insights to senior leadership. This is a cross functional role that collaborates with accounting, tax and risk teams and supports regulatory reporting.
Key responsibilities include delivering valuation reports for acquisitions and impairment testing, validating fair value measurements, and providing decision support to optimize portfolio value. You will leverage advanced Excel and modeling tools, maintain data integrity, and communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead and deliver independent asset valuations across real estate, equipment, and intangible assets
- Build and maintain robust financial models including DCF, comps, and scenario analysis
- Conduct market research, risk assessment, and sensitivity analysis to support valuation conclusions
- Prepare client ready valuation reports and present findings to senior leadership
- Support impairment testing and fair value measurements under IFRS 13 and ASC 820
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, and legal teams to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Manage documentation and data governance for valuation processes
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field
- 5+ years of professional asset valuation experience across multiple asset classes
- CFA, AVA, ASA or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Excel; knowledge of Python or R is a plus
- Deep understanding of IFRS 13 and GAAP fair value measurement; experience with impairment testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Experience with data management systems and valuation software; attention to data quality
