HarborStone Valuations is seeking a Senior Asset Valuation Analyst to join our NYC-based team. You will lead complex valuation engagements across real assets, financial assets, and intangible assets, providing rigorous analysis and actionable reporting for clients in private equity, real estate, and corporate sectors.
In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, build robust financial models, perform market and asset-specific research, and contribute to firm-wide thought leadership on valuation methodologies.

Responsibility
- Lead and manage asset valuation engagements across real estate, equipment, intangible assets, and financial instruments.
- Develop and validate valuation models (DCF, income capitalization, cost approach, and hybrid methods).
- Perform market analysis, disposition scenarios, and sensitivity analysis to support client decision-making.
- Prepare client-ready valuation reports compliant with IFRS, GAAP, IVS, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with clients, auditors, investment teams, and internal stakeholders to present findings and recommendations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to internal knowledge management and training initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of asset valuation experience across real assets, financial assets, or intangible assets.
- Advanced financial modeling skills with Excel; experience in Python/R and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and valuation standards (IVS); experience with regulatory reporting is a plus.
- Proficiency with valuation software and data analysis tools (e.g., Argus, Excel, SQL).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
