Responsibility

  • Plan and execute audits for a portfolio of clients across industries, ensuring high-quality conclusions in line with ISAs and UK GAAP/IFRS.
  • Lead fieldwork, supervise and develop junior staff, and review workpapers for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess risk, design and perform tests of controls, substantive procedures, and analytical procedures.
  • Draft clear, concise audit findings and manage communications with clients and senior management.
  • Coordinate with client finance teams, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain thorough audit documentation and contribute to internal quality assurance processes.
  • Support business development by identifying improvement opportunities and presenting value-added recommendations.

Qualification

  • Professional designation such as ACA/ACCA/CIA or equivalent; 3+ years of progressive audit experience in professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and ISAs, with demonstrated practical application.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and audit software (IDEA, ACL, Excel); familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills; ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a client-facing environment.
  • UK work authorization and willingness to travel as required (up to 25-40%).
