NovaBridge Audit & Advisory is seeking a detail driven Senior Auditor to join our growing team in New York City. This role offers exposure to diverse sectors, hands on risk assessment, and opportunities to shape clients internal control environments. You will lead audits, collaborate with cross functional teams, and contribute to process improvements across finance and operations.
As a trusted advisor, you will design audit programs, evaluate internal controls, test financial statements, and communicate findings with clarity. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, demonstrates ethical judgment, and embraces continuous learning.
Responsibility
- Plan and execute financial and operational audits to assess risk and control effectiveness.
- Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Identify control gaps and propose practical remediation with management.
- Test accounts, transactions, and processes in accordance with professional standards.
- Prepare clear, concise audit findings and present results to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including finance, compliance, IT, and operations.
- Support external auditors and coordinate complex audit projects requiring cross divisional input.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen governance and risk management programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive auditing experience in corporate or professional services environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, internal control frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience with SOX program, control testing, and remediation tracking.
- Proficiency in data analytics and audit software; ability to interpret large data sets and identify anomalies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to non technical stakeholders.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple audits concurrently.
- Willingness to travel up to 20 percent as required.
