What you’ll do: you will own the backend systems, drive reliability, and contribute to architectural decisions that enable rapid experimentation and high availability. You will collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams to ship value quickly and securely.

Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable microservices and APIs to support our AI-powered platform.
- Own API design, security, observability, and performance optimizations at scale.
- Collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams to shape product outcomes.
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment automation.
- Focus on reliability, monitoring, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Architect with scalability and cost-efficiency in mind, balancing speed and quality.
- Contribute to the security posture and data governance of the platform.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field; 5+ years of backend experience.
- Proven track record building scalable backend services; microservices architecture expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js or Go; experience with Python is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern CI/CD practices.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and in-memory stores (Redis).
- Solid understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL) and security best practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; comfortable in a fast-paced startup.
- Authorization to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
