Join a premier financial institution dedicated to excellence in banking operations and trusted risk management. We are seeking a Senior Banking Compliance & Data Analyst to shape our compliance program and elevate data-driven decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will partner with Legal, Risk, and Front Office teams to ensure adherence to AML, KYC, sanctions, and other regulatory requirements while leveraging data analytics to identify and mitigate risk.
Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor the bank's AML/KYC compliance program ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulatory expectations.
- Lead data-driven risk assessments using SQL and data visualization tools to identify control gaps and optimize processes.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Front Office to design and implement effective controls, remediation actions, and policy changes.
- Prepare and present regulatory reports, audit responses, and management updates to senior leadership and board committees.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of customer activities, investigate suspicious patterns, and escalate as required.
- Evaluate third-party vendor risk, maintain governance frameworks, and deliver training to business units on regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and translate changes into practical policy and process updates.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking compliance, risk management, or regulatory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of AML/KYC regulations, sanctions programs, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., BSA, FinCEN, OFAC).
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with regulatory reporting tools, audit processes, and governance frameworks.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, or equivalent are preferred.
