Join Aurora Bank as a Senior Banking Compliance & Risk Analyst. In this role, you will lead regulatory programs, assess risk, and partner with business units to ensure robust controls across UK and EU markets. Responsibility
- Lead and oversee regulatory compliance programs across UK and EU jurisdictions, ensuring ongoing adherence and timely submissions.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments for new products, services, and initiatives to identify and mitigate compliance gaps.
- Design, implement, and test internal controls; coordinate with internal audit and external regulators as required.
- Collaborate with Legal, IT, Operations, and Business Lines to embed compliant processes into day-to-day operations.
- Monitor regulatory changes (FCA, PRA, MiFID II, AML/KYC) and assess impact on policies, controls, and training needs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, escalations, and remediation opportunities; prepare clear, action-oriented reporting for senior leadership.
- Provide timely regulatory guidance and training to staff, promoting a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (ACAMS, CFA, FRM) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking compliance, risk, or controls within a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU financial regulations (FCA, PRA, MiFID II, AML/KYC) and related industry standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel) and risk metrics; experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated collaboration and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams and with regulators.
