NovaChem Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist to join our expanding analytical team in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on developing and validating analytical methods to support drug development programs and quality control initiatives.
As a key member of our R&D division, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design robust experiments, interpret complex data, and present findings to stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods using HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and NMR.
- Perform routine QC analyses ensuring compliance with GMP and GLP standards.
- Design experiments, analyze data, and report results to cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures and method validation documentation.
- Collaborate with QA, Formulation, and Process Development to accelerate programs.
- Mentor junior chemists and train lab staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Ensure lab safety, proper waste management, and inventory control.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience in pharma/biotech labs.
- Proficient with HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, and associated software.
- Experience with method development, validation (ICH Q2), and GMP/GLP environments.
- Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of statistics and data integrity.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced setting while ensuring quality and safety.
