We are seeking a Senior Chemist to lead research and development projects in formulation development and analytical characterization. This role blends hands-on laboratory work with cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions for our global customers.
As a Senior Chemist, you will design experiments, interpret complex data, and mentor junior scientists. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure product stability, compliance, and successful scale-up from prototype to production.
Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of experiments for formulation development and analytical characterization.
- Develop and validate methods using HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, or FTIR to support product specifications.
- Interpret complex data sets, generate clear conclusions, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to scale up processes while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Maintain rigorous documentation in SOPs, write technical reports, and contribute to regulatory submissions.
- Mentor junior chemists, train lab staff, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Identify optimization opportunities to reduce costs and improve yield, purity, and stability.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field; PhD preferred; Bachelor’s with strong experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in formulation development or analytical chemistry.
- Proficiency with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, FTIR) and data analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of GMP, GLP, and quality systems; experience with SOP development.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and software (ChemDraw, Python or Matlab) is a plus.
