NovaChem Solutions is hiring a Senior Chemist to lead synthetic chemistry projects in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. You will develop and optimize scalable routes for specialty chemicals, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate with Process Development, Analytical, and QC teams to ensure product quality and safety.

Responsibility
- Lead design, execution, and optimization of organic synthesis routes for new product candidates.
- Develop scalable processes with a focus on yield, purity, and environmental and safety compliance.
- Mentor and supervise junior chemists; contribute to project timelines and milestones.
- Collaborate with Process Development, Analytical Science, and Manufacturing to transfer routes to production.
- Document experimental data, write robust SOPs, and ensure compliance with GMP and GLP where applicable.
- Interpret analytical data (NMR, MS, HPLC/GC) to troubleshoot and refine synthetic pathways.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into practical chemistry solutions.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a related field; 3+ years of hands-on synthetic chemistry experience in industry.
- Proven track record in designing and optimizing organic synthesis routes.
- Experience with scale-up and process development from bench to pilot scale.
- Strong proficiency with analytical techniques (NMR, MS, HPLC/GC) and data interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of GMP/GLP principles and laboratory safety protocols.
- Proven project leadership experience and ability to mentor junior staff.
