Job description
NovaChem Labs is seeking a results-driven Senior Chemist to lead novel formulation efforts within our fast-paced R&D division. You will design, execute, and interpret experiments across analytical and synthetic chemistry, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP standards.

Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of complex synthetic and analytical experiments to support product development cycles.
- Develop and validate analytical methods (HPLC, GC-MS, NMR) for routine QC and characterization.
- Interpret data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with process development, manufacturing, and quality teams to scale lab results.
- Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Mentor junior scientists and maintain a culture of scientific rigor and continuous improvement.
- Drive troubleshooting and root-cause analyses for assay and formulation issues.
Qualification
- PhD or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytical and synthetic chemistry within an R&D setting.
- Strong proficiency with HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, FTIR, and other modern analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments, analyze data, and communicate results clearly.
- Experience with GMP/GLP environments and documentation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record of leading projects and mentoring team members.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, JMP, Python basics) is a plus.
