Join NimbusCloud Technologies, a leading innovator in cloud-native solutions, as a Senior Cloud Architect in San Francisco. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic cloud leadership to design and implement scalable, secure, multi-cloud platforms for enterprise clients.
You will partner with product, security, and engineering teams to craft resilient cloud architectures, drive migrations, and set governance standards that optimize cost and performance.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Define and enforce best practices for security, identity, and compliance in multi-cloud environments.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools; architecture reviews and guidance.
- Plan and execute cloud migrations and modernization initiatives with minimal impact to customers.
- Optimize cloud cost, performance, and reliability through continuous monitoring and automation.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to drive CI/CD pipelines and scalable deployment patterns.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers and lead architecture governance across squads.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating new cloud services and tooling to inform roadmaps.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of cloud architecture or senior cloud engineering experience.
- Proven track record delivering secure, multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with cost optimization, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to mentor engineers and influence stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are highly desirable.
