Job description

Join NimbusCloud Technologies as a Senior Cloud Architect and lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions for global customers.

In this role, you will partner with product, security, and platform teams to craft reference architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, champion infrastructure as code, and drive automation and reliability initiatives.

We’re looking for a strategic technologist who can translate business needs into robust cloud patterns, mentor engineers, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibility

  • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Lead migration and modernization efforts with IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
  • Define and enforce security, identity, and access management controls aligned with compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable cloud solutions.
  • Establish best practices for CI/CD, observability, cost optimization, and reliability (SRE principles).
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams; produce blueprints, runbooks, and reusable patterns.
  • Manage capacity planning, performance optimization, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Drive platform governance, vendor evaluation, and automation initiatives to accelerate delivery).

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of cloud architecture or platform engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.
  • Solid networking, security, IAM, and compliance knowledge applicable to cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive cloud modernization initiatives.
