Join a high-growth tech company in Seattle as a Senior Cloud Architect, shaping robust, scalable, and secure cloud platforms. You will lead cloud design, governance, and automation initiatives across multiple cloud providers to enable fast, reliable software delivery.
In this role you will partner with software engineering, security, and operations to drive cloud-first initiatives and shape our infrastructure as code strategy.
What you will do includes guiding multi-cloud reference architectures, implementing governance and cost controls, and ensuring security by design across services.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to support multi-cloud app portfolios.
- Define and enforce cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost management strategies.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive platform reliability, incident response planning, disaster recovery, and SRE practices.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize performance, scalability, and deployment speed.
- Create and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and comprehensive deployment playbooks.
- Mentor and coach junior cloud engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new cloud services and partnerships.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on cloud architecture and engineering experience.
- Proven expertise across at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of networking, security, IAM, encryption, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities.
