Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and security.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Develop robust monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and related tools; manage incident response and postmortems.
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize deployment strategies, release processes, and platform performance.
- Champion security best practices, IAM governance, network segmentation, and cost optimization across cloud environments.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; drive initiatives to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
- Automate operational tasks and reduce toil through tooling, scripting, and repeatable processes.
- Lead on-call rotations and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in DevOps or SRE roles with hands-on experience across public clouds (AWS preferred) and Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash; strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Extensive experience with container orchestration, microservices, networking concepts, and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Strong monitoring and observability skills (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK/EFK stacks).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities; ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus.
