Job description
CloudForge Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. You will craft robust, secure, and cost-efficient architectures that empower enterprise applications and data workloads.
You’ll collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Development teams to drive automation, performance, and reliability in a multi-cloud environment. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities and a strong focus on best practices in security, governance, and operational excellence.
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead infrastructure as code initiatives using Terraform and similar tools; codify deployment pipelines with CI/CD.
- Drive modernization and migration efforts, optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost.
- Establish cloud security, identity, and access controls; implement monitoring, logging, and incident response practices.
- Collaborate with SRE, Platform, and DevOps teams to define standards, guardrails, and runbooks.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with cloud technology trends and assess new platforms and services for fit and ROI.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
- 8+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with multi-cloud environments; strong AWS/Azure/GCP skills.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, containers, Terraform, Ansible, and automation tooling.
- Deep knowledge of networking, security, IAM, and cost optimization in cloud contexts.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership abilities; mentorship experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Expert, Google Cloud Professional) a plus.
