Join a fast-growing cloud solutions company as a Senior Cloud Engineer in Austin, Texas. You will design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, delivering secure, resilient, and cost-efficient platforms for our clients.
In this role you will be a technical leader, collaborating with software engineers, security, and DevOps teams to drive automation, governance, and best practices in cloud operations.
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable, multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) that meet business and reliability requirements.
- Lead infrastructure as code initiatives using Terraform or similar tools to automate provisioning and configuration.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based services, ensuring rapid, safe deployments.
- Optimize cloud costs and performance through monitoring, sizing, and lifecycle management.
- Establish robust security, IAM, and compliance controls across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to migrate applications to the cloud and improve fault tolerance.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in design reviews and incident response.
- Lead high-priority incident investigations, postmortems, and remediation efforts.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering or SRE experience.
- Proven expertise across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud with relevant certifications (Solutions Architect, Cloud Developer, or equivalent).
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi) and configuration management.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration; familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Proficient scripting skills (Python, Bash); solid understanding of networking, IAM, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
