At Apex Cloud Technologies, we engineer scalable cloud platforms for enterprise clients. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Seattle team and lead multi cloud initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
You will collaborate with product teams to design robust, secure, and cost efficient cloud architectures while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices in automation, monitoring, and reliability.
This is a hands on role that combines architecture, automation, and leadership to deliver high impact cloud solutions for fortune 500 clients and fast growing startups alike.
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable cloud architectures spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Lead migration and modernization efforts for complex workloads while ensuring cost efficiency and governance.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated release processes.
- Implement robust security controls, identity and access management, and compliance across multi cloud environments.
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform or similar tools; manage containers with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems; lead incident response and postmortems.
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and drive best practices in cloud architecture and SRE disciplines.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
- 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with strong expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, and with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Hands on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and containerization (Docker).
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or PowerShell; solid understanding of networking and security in cloud.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Security and compliance mindset; experience with IAM, VPCs, monitoring, and incident management.
- Relevant cloud certifications are highly desirable (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
