Job description
NimbusCloud Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our growing cloud engineering team. You will design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms to support enterprise customers. This role emphasizes reliability, security, and performance in a multi-cloud environment.
In this role, you will collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and security teams to deliver resilient, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. You will have the opportunity to influence technology decisions, implement automation, and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibility
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a focus on reliability, security, and cost optimization.
- Lead selection and implementation of IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation to accelerate delivery.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and blue/green deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce IAM, network segmentation, logging, and monitoring best practices.
- Define SRE practices, runbooks, and incident response processes; monitor critical KPIs and perform post-incident reviews.
- Mentor and coach engineers; contribute to technical forums, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate new cloud services, optimize cloud spending, and drive performance improvements across platforms.
- Partner with product teams to translate requirements into scalable cloud architectures and roadmaps.
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP; multi-cloud experience is a plus.
- Strong expertise in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
- Proficient in Linux/Unix systems, scripting (Python, Bash).
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native services.
- Deep understanding of networking, IAM, VPCs, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, incident response, and SRE practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor peers and collaborate across teams.
