Join ApexCloud Solutions as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer in Seattle to architect, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications. Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure to support product teams.
- Lead migration of on-prem workloads to the cloud, championing cost-efficient, secure architectures.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation/ARM) and robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement security best practices, IAM governance, network segmentation, encryption, and incident response plans.
- Monitor, optimize performance and costs; establish SLOs/SLIs and runbooks for reliability.
- Collaborate with developers to design resilient microservices and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in on-call rotations, and drive architectural decisions through ADRs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience; 3+ years in platform or solution architecture.
- Proficiency with at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and multi-cloud deployments.
- Strong infrastructure as code experience (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation/ARM also acceptable).
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern microservices architectures.
- Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash/PowerShell) and automation tooling; excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills; relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/Google) are a plus.
