Join AstraCloud Technologies as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer. You will own the architecture, deployment, and optimization of our cloud platforms across multiple providers. This is a hands on, strategic role for a senior engineer who loves building scalable, secure, and cost efficient systems. Based in San Francisco with potential for hybrid work options.
As a key member of our Cloud Platform team, you will translate business needs into reliable cloud solutions, mentor engineers, and drive best practices across the organization.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and scale multi cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure with infrastructure as code patterns
- Lead cloud migration strategies and modernization projects while minimizing risk
- Build and maintain robust CI CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Establish security, IAM, and compliance controls across all environments
- Optimize cloud spend and performance through monitoring, autoscaling, and right sizing
- Collaborate with SRE, software engineering, and product teams to drive platform improvements
- Mentor and grow mid senior engineers, contribute to architecture governance
Qualification
- 5+ years in cloud engineering or cloud architecture roles
- Strong expertise with at least two major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform and or CloudFormation
- Hands on experience with containers and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and access management
- Experience with monitoring observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a customer obsessed mindset
