Job description
Fortis Risk Advisory is seeking a Senior Crisis Management Lead to shape and execute our enterprise-wide crisis readiness program. You will partner with executives, risk, security, communications, and operations to anticipate, respond to, and recover from high-impact events.
In this strategic role, you will design frameworks, drive exercises, and ensure rapid, accurate communications during incidents, while building resilience across the organization.
Responsibility
- Develop and oversee the enterprise crisis management strategy, playbooks, and governance processes.
- Lead incident response and business continuity efforts during high-severity events.
- Coordinate cross-functional crisis teams, ensuring clear roles, escalation paths, and decision rights.
- Advise the C-suite on risk posture, operational impacts, and recovery timelines.
- Oversee crisis communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement before, during, and after incidents.
- Plan and facilitate tabletop exercises, drills, and post-incident debriefs.
- Conduct risk assessments, scenario planning, and vulnerability analyses to tighten defenses.
- Manage relationships with vendors and external partners for rapid incident support.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Security, Communications, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 15+ years of crisis management, business continuity, or security leadership experience.
- Proven track record leading major incidents and guiding executive-level decision-making.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; calm, authoritative presence under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Crisis communications certification (e.g., CERP, CPM) or equivalent training is highly desirable.
- Experience with regulatory requirements, incident reporting, and regulatory inquiries.
- Facilitation of tabletop exercises and maturity in risk assessment methodologies.
