Job description
NebulaSecure is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and defend complex enterprise environments. You will partner with product and engineering teams to embed security into every stage of the software development lifecycle and build resilient defenses against evolving threats.
In this role, you will lead security initiatives, drive proactive defenses, and mentor teammates to elevate our security posture.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement security controls across cloud and on-prem environments
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews
- Design and maintain SOC-ready detection capabilities and incident response playbooks
- Mentor junior engineers and drive secure development practices across teams
- Perform vulnerability management, remediation coordination, and patch management
- Automate repetitive security tasks and orchestrate responses using tooling
- Collaborate with product and engineering to embed security into the SDLC
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience
- Strong cloud security expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IAM
- Experience with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR/XDR tooling
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting for automation
- Knowledge of security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure security) preferred
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
