NorthStar Cyber Solutions is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and lead security programs across cloud and on-premises environments. Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of security controls across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-prem environments.
- Architect and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code security checks, and automated compliance guardrails.
- Lead incident response, investigations, and post-incident reviews with cross-functional teams.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
- Manage vulnerability management program, track remediation, and communicate risk to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security operations to implement security requirements early in development lifecycles.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive security awareness across the organization.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience (engineering, SOC, or security program leadership).
- Strong experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IAM.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell/Bash) and security automation.
- Hands-on with SIEM (Splunk, Elastic SIEM) and EDR/XDR tools; strong incident response skills.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate risk into business terms.
