We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our security posture across products and platforms. This role blends hands-on security engineering with strategic architecture to deliver secure, scalable solutions in cloud and on-prem environments.
As a member of our Security Engineering team, you will partner with product, DevOps, and risk leaders to design and implement secure controls, detect and respond to threats, and drive improvements across the development lifecycle.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of the secure software development lifecycle across multiple product teams.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and security design reviews for new features and architectures.
- Architect and implement security controls across cloud environments (AWS and Azure) including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and key management.
- Operate and improve incident response and security monitoring; triage alerts, coordinate remediation, and post incident reviews.
- Oversee vulnerability management, patch prioritization, and remediation tracking with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security by design and secure coding practices using automated controls.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead security automation initiatives, and contribute to security policy and governance.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or higher in computer science, information security, or related field; 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or security operations.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and best practices (OWASP, NIST, CIS).
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevSecOps, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency with security tooling (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners) and incident response processes.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and a solid understanding of networking concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to influence across teams and mentor others.
- Ability to design and review security architectures for complex systems and scalable services.
