NovaSec Solutions is a leading cybersecurity firm delivering enterprise-grade security for Fortune 500 clients. We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and operate robust security controls across on premise and cloud environments. This role blends hands on engineering, security architecture, and mentorship to drive security outcomes for complex digital initiatives.
As a critical member of our security practice, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to reduce risk, improve resilience, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to security strategy, tooling, and incident response playbooks.
Responsibility
- Lead security architecture and design reviews for large scale projects across cloud and on premise environments.
- Develop threat models and security requirements that align with business goals and regulatory standards.
- Design and implement identity and access management controls, secure network architectures, and data protection safeguards.
- Lead incident response and post incident analysis, driving improvements to detection and containment.
- Configure and optimize SIEM/SOAR tooling; monitor, investigate, and respond to security events.
- Collaborate with development teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Perform vulnerability management and risk assessments, guiding remediation and risk reduction.
- Contribute to security governance, policy development, and security training for staff.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in computer science or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with hands on engineering background.
- Strong experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), IAM, network security, endpoint security.
- Proven incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security tooling (SIEM, EDR, SOAR).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence across teams.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high accountability environment.
