Join NexusGuard Labs as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and help secure complex enterprise environments. You will design, implement, and operate security controls across cloud and on premises, lead threat modeling sessions, and collaborate with product teams to embed security by design.
We are seeking a handsâon leader who can translate security requirements into practical, scalable solutions and mentor junior engineers as we grow. This role offers the opportunity to influence security strategy while working with cuttingâedge technologies in a fastâpaced environment.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of core security controls across cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and onâprem environments.
- Perform threat modeling and security architecture reviews to identify and mitigate risks early in the development lifecycle.
- Own incident response planning and contribute to runbooks, playbooks, and postâincident analyses.
- Drive vulnerability management, patching, and remediation efforts across multiple teams and platforms.
- Develop and operationalize security automation using SIEM, EDR, IAST/DAST, and workflow tooling.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure security by design and secure software practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct security trainings, and promote a culture of security excellence.
- Evaluate thirdâparty risk, vendor security posture, and compliance requirements relevant to the business.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field; 5+ years in cybersecurity or security engineering.
- Deep knowledge of network security, host security, application security, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Handsâon experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, SSO, SAST/DAST, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.
- Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with security orchestration tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or OSCP are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for nonâtechnical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of mentoring or leading security initiatives within crossâfunctional teams.
