Join NovaShield Cybersecurity as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and help protect critical data for enterprise clients. This role blends hands-on security engineering with strategic leadership, focused on building resilient security architectures across cloud and on prem environments. Responsibility
- Design and implement security controls across cloud and on prem environments to reduce risk and improve resilience.
- Lead incident detection and response efforts, including tuning SIEM and SOAR platforms for rapid containment.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting, vulnerability management, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate threats.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security runbooks, playbooks, and runbooks for incident response.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Architect and review security designs, patterns, and controls for new initiatives.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and governance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security training and awareness programs.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional security engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of network, application, and endpoint security; cloud security across AWS Azure or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM (eg Splunk, QRadar) and SOAR; proficient in incident response tooling.
- Experience with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCFA are preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
