Job description
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join Aurora Insights, a fast-growing analytics company delivering data-driven decision support for leading tech and consumer brands. This is a hands-on role blending advanced modeling, experimentation, and stakeholder storytelling.
In this role, you will build robust ML solutions that scale from prototype to production, shape data strategy, and mentor a growing data science team.

Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end data science solutions aligned with product goals.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines, feature stores, and model monitoring.
- Develop and evaluate machine learning models, perform rigorous experimentation, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for reproducibility and model governance.
- Translate business questions into analytical frameworks; deliver dashboards and reports that drive decision-making.
- Define success metrics, monitor model performance, and plan retraining and maintenance strategies.
Qualification
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on data science experience, with a track record deploying models to production.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL; experience with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tooling; containerization (Docker) and version control (Git).
- Strong statistical background, experimental design, and A/B testing.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and storytelling with data.
